About Friendship Feast
What do we do?
Because of people’s generosity, we continue to
serve a hot, nutritious meal every week, Monday through Friday, to people who are hungry and in
need.
What can you do to help us? We’re glad you asked.
First, you, an organization in which you are involved in, or a ministry in your church can
volunteer
to help serve a meal. Simply contact Sarah Speakman, our manager, at 620-253-1953 to get more
information AND set up a day (or days) to serve. We would love to have you!
Second, individuals, businesses, and organizations can donate food (such as canned and dried goods, frozen meats and vegetables, fresh produce, etc.) Food donations help stretch our food budget, which we really appreciate. If you have food items to donate, once again, contact Sarah.
Finally, your financial support would also be greatly appreciated. Other than a few grants each year, Friendship Feast Association is totally funded by the generosity of individuals, businesses, churches and other organizations. Some donors give a regular, ongoing monthly contribution; others give on a one-time annual basis. All in all, every dollar we receive goes into meeting the needs of people in Dodge City!!! And every dollar counts!!
What does it take each month?
Even though we receive grocery and food items throughout the year, it
still requires $4500-$5000 in monetary contributions each month to keep us operational.
Would you prayerfully consider helping us continue this mission? Please send your tax-deductible
donation payable to Friendship Feast Association, PO Box 1075, Dodge City KS 67801.
God’s Word tells in Matthew 25:37-40, “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of theses brothers of mine, you did for me.” (NIV)
These are powerful words! And this is what Friendship Feast is all about honoring God by helping those in need!
